MLIT New Orders Statistics

This monthly bulletin lists successfully granted construction approvals, which are required by Japanese law for building vessels over 2,500 tonnes or 90m long. Data is separated according to vessel type and final product destination (domestic/overseas). This bulletin is the easiest way to understand current trends in the Japanese industry. The English language version is translated, published, and distributed by JSC.
